Ahead of the International Cheer Union World Championships taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida this April 25-27, USA Cheer has announced that they will be sending a US National Team to compete in the ParaCheer Unified Division.
“This is a new, incredible opportunity for athletes with and without disabilities in cheerleading,” says [US ParaCheer National team coach] Lee Trudell. “The team is excited to represent the United States as the first ParaCheer team in the country at the International Cheer Union Championships. We are grateful to USA Cheer and ICU for this opportunity.”
The International Cheer Union (ICU) has 110 member nations and is the governing body for the sport of cheer.
